The British Library

About this project

The British National Library officially opened in 1998 and holds approximately 170-200 million items from many countries, making it one of the largest libraries in the world with items dating as far back as 2000 BC.    The Library was part of the British Museum until 1973, when it moved into a purpose built-building in St Pancras, London to accommodate the three million items being added each year, filling 9.6 kilometres of new shelf space.  The architect chose Frost Drainage products for this project.
